Terms for Families and Organisations

Please read these terms before engaging The Human Flourishing Practice™. The family and individual-client booking terms below apply to counselling and family consultations. Organisational engagements are managed separately under a written proposal or service agreement.

Family and Individual Client Bookings

  • The payment and cancellation terms below apply only to appointments booked directly by individuals and families through this website — including counselling, parent coaching, and family consultations.

Payment

  • To secure your appointment, full payment is required at the time of booking.
  • Payments are processed securely through our online booking system.
  • Fees for each service are displayed during the booking process. Professional consultancy fees for schools and organisations are available on request.
  • The Human Flourishing Profile™ is a fixed-fee assessment package. Payment for the package is made at the first booking, and your remaining package consultations are then booked at no additional charge.

Cancellations & Refunds

  • More than 48 hours notice: full refund or appointment credit.
  • 24–48 hours notice: a 50% cancellation fee applies.
  • Less than 24 hours notice: the appointment fee is non-refundable.
  • No attendance without notice: the appointment fee is forfeited.
  • Consideration may be given in exceptional circumstances at the discretion of Dr Carol.
  • If Dr Carol needs to reschedule your appointment, you will be offered an alternative time or a full refund.

Telehealth

  • Appointments are conducted via secure Telehealth (video) unless otherwise arranged.
  • A secure video link is included in your confirmation email.
  • Please ensure you have a private space, a reliable internet connection and a device with a camera and microphone.
  • Telehealth is available Australia-wide. Phone sessions can be arranged where video is not practical or preferred.

Organisations, Schools and Service Providers

  • Work for organisations—including cohorts, consultancy, and staff supervision—is managed via a tailored scope of work or service agreement. Organisations are responsible for ensuring appropriate authority and privacy consents are in place according to their sector requirements.
  • Organisational services are consultative and educational. They do not constitute emergency, crisis, medical, NDIS behaviour-support, or restrictive-practice services.

Educational nature of the correspondence courses

  • Courses are delivered primarily through printed materials and written feedback via the correspondence course pathway.
  • Materials are licensed to the enrolled purchaser only. Course content cannot be copied, shared, reproduced, distributed or used to run unauthorised programs.
  • Enrolment does not establish a therapeutic, medical, legal, psychological or crisis-support relationship.
  • Facilitator / Peer-Coach Training does not qualify someone as a psychologist, counsellor, therapist, social worker, medical practitioner or regulated professional.
  • The Certificate of Peer-Coach / Facilitator Practice in the Schultz Human Flourishing Model™ is a course certificate only.

Important Notice

  • This practice provides specialist consultancy and elective counselling. It is not a crisis or emergency mental health service.
  • If you are in immediate distress, please contact Lifeline on 13 11 14 or emergency services on 000.
